Jim and Inge Wood's desire to develop new opportunities for area musicians has led to the formation oftheTennessee Fiddle Orchestra. Employing the same instrumentation as a classical string orchestra and inspired by Scottish fiddle orchestras, the TFO will rehearse and perform traditional fiddle music and folk songs found throughout North America. We will explore tunes in the old-timey, Irish, Scottish,Canadian, bluegrass, western swing, and folk styles. We encourage all string players, regardless of background or technical level, to join us for a new and fulfilling musical experience.

Jim, with years of arranging for strings and producing independent records on his resume, will orchestrate the selections to accommodate the skill level of the personnel on hand.
