Lisa Quick Biography

Lisa Quick has amassed a wide range of musical experience over the last 15 years – everything from bassooning to songwriting – but her favorite musical endeavor is the art of conducting. Lisa first directed a student group performance while still in her first conducting class in college, and she has been randomly waving a baton at varied groups ever since.

Lisa’s previous conducting experience includes performances by the New Orleans Civic Symphony, Crescent City Orchestra, New Orleans Chamber Orchestra, the 1st Cavalry Division Band (US Army), Temple College Wind Symphony (Texas), and the University of New Orleans Wind Ensemble, as well as direction of student groups in K-12 school settings.

Ms. Quick earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education (Instrumental) from Loyola University New Orleans (1996). She served two years in the U.S. Army as a bassoon player at Fort Hood, Texas. She was pursuing a Master's Degree in Music (Conducting) at the University of New Orleans when her studies were interrupted by Hurricane Katrina, and she chose to relocate to the Nashville area. Lisa is currently working on a Master’s Degree in Pedagogy (Bassoon) from Belmont University.

Lisa is also an award-winning singer-songwriter-guitarist, and her original songs can be found at LeeQuick.com.
